Creative Conscience

Chrissy Levett the founder on Creative Conscience came in and gave a lecture to us on how designers in any profession can make and create something that can have a positive impact on humanity as a whole. This talk went through some of the projects that give examples of this like a saving and improving of a town centre to health issues such as suicide or testicular cancer or environmental issues such as plastic waste. Creative Conscience is an organisation that helps promote and develop these movements, they take what you are passionate about changing and help point you in the right direction so you can help promote and cause that change. Some projects spoken to about even had events created to tackle these issues, along side this Creative Conscience also sets up workshops to help you put your solutions out there into the public. They cover all design aspects such as graphic, interior and  fashion design, animation and architecture, they help people learn and develop these mediums to change and make a difference in everyday life about issues that get unspoken about or swept under the rug. I found this lecture interesting and gave food for thought on what if anything am I passionate about changing in the world, how can I use my abilities to cause change? The workshop after was interesting, it gave us a chance to practice what they were talking about even in a small classroom setting.
