For my typography brief I was given a type at random, I then had to design something to sell that type as the greatest type of all time better than any other type out there. Optima is a strange type not only can it be considered a serif it can also be considered a san - serif, I used this point as a major selling point for the type. I designed a booklet that would be distributed like paper samples to different designers so they could see the Optimum Optima, I printed Optima on every page of the booklet showing how great it looks on different paper types as the booklets pages are all different papers and colours. I also designed little cards that go inside the booklet's front cover which give information to the designer about the typeface, these cards are: Designer Profile, Historical Context, Pedigree, Design Association and Visual Aesthetics.
